Family University

Family University Parents

Family University is a respectful and all-inclusive platform to engage families as equal partners to improve student achievement for brighter futures.

Our vision is to ensure a safe, welcoming and diverse environment that nurtures growth and development for life-long leaders. In all our pursuits, we strive to build community; bridging partnerships between families, school and district.

Family University was piloted at Anderson Elementary in the 2017-18 school year. Due to its positive response, it is being expanded and implemented district-wide in the 2018-19 school year.

Family University offers workshops and classes to empower our families to learn and grow with your students. Topics include math, literacy, ESL, technology, and many more! In addition to workshops and classes, as a Family University member—you can take your involvement to the next level by participating in any of the following committees and activities:

Family Participation Passport

The Family Participation Passport leads to recognizing you for your effort and involvement in your child’s academic success. Bring your passport to the activities listed to have it signed by the facilitator of that activity. At the end of the passport cycle, turn it in to the Community Liaison or school office for a special recognition! Together, we can make a difference in your child’s success!
